Hooked up with Fuzz and left San Jose at 2:30 AM.  Got to Fort Ross just as it was getting light and paddled out into NASTY conditions.  Wind was blowing very hard from the south, whitecaps and RAIN.  It was the worst weather I've experienced diving.

We got limits of abs and picked some uni, but I paid some dues!

Next we stopped at Lawsons Landing.  The weather was better.  Less wind and rain with just an occassional shower.  We paddled to the sandbar and broke out the clamming arsenal.  Working hard, we ended up with 18 horseneck clams.  Since Fuzz had longer arms, it just made sense that he should be the chosen one to work the clams and pull them up from the deep. :smt002

We lent out some clam gear to another family and later aided in the recovery of their boat drifting in the channel.  I guess good deeds are smiled upon, as we drove home with a little bonus. :metal

Fuzz,
Your a MACHINE!!!  Thanks!

We didn't catch the salmon.  It was given to us.  Aparently the salmon fishing is pretty good up around Bodega.

Fred,
Dinner on Tues.  Come on by!!!

The salmon fishing has been pretty hot off Bodega, unfortunately, the hot spot is about 12 miles off shore.  Later in the summer it should get within normal (i.e. not bluekayak) kayak range.

Awesome job.   I must have passed you guys on the way back.  We avoided the rain, but the conditions were still marginal.
