Mind if I tag along? Finally time is on my side, and things are lining up. Good news - I'm not a newbie! Anyway, I'll be in a blue Matrix with an OK T15. I'll be coming from Daly City, but I expect to be there by 6:30, or 6 if possible.

I'm still thinking about going. I got a tandem hobie kayak that uses those foot pedals, but I only have one person. Think it's doable to launch? Or if anyone just wants to sit in the 2nd spot, just bring your own gear if you want.

PM me if anyone's interested or wants to carpool. If I do go, I'll be leaving from west San Jose near Cupertino area around 4:30. I've never been fishing around MBK, do you guys just meet up and launch at del monte?

You could launch from the beach near the boat ramp - there's a parking lot just above it, and a curved sidewalk down to the sand, and a bathroom 100yds away on the other side of the park.  You can (or could then) park all day in the lot.

Ray, I'd suggest San Carlos beach over MBK because it'll save you a mile of paddling. The surf is usually just as mellow as MBK. It's beside the CG jetty and you have to wheel/carry the kayak about 100ft to the water (shorter distance than MBK but w/a few stairs). It can get busy on wknds but it s/b mellow tomorrow. Parking costs the same as MBK, I think.
Here's an old thread w/directions and stuff guys: http://www.norcalkayakanglers.com/index.php/topic,18767.msg187629.html#msg187629
