+1 on the Honey Badger, when I was a kid my pregnant Gardner snake got out, then had babies!!! Tons of them, they were everywhere. LMAO over this post. Good luck with the snake, and the fishing trip.

In my defense, that rabid mouse ate through the plastic casing of my air filter....any animal that feeds on plastic is simply the devil in disguise 

...as far as snakes, poisonous or not, you just can't trust 'em  Like I've stated a million times, they are called "snakes" for a reason 

ohmygawd , I seriously asked Fishbucket if this could happen one time and he said "NO."  I'm not sure I'll be able to drive or ride in a car again.

After a cup of coffee and a visit to the "Ops Center" (my garage), my son Max and I introduced Mooch to some of our pets.

To my knowledge, this is the closest Mooch has gotten to a big snake.

Didn't help matters that our python took a strike at my hand as I was attempting to take him out for photo opportunity.  (he's about to shed and just fed, can't really see right now, so I think was just striking at the movement)

Joel of course feels the snake was on high alert due to his (Joel's) intense fear factor.  Might be some thing to that, the snake has never, ever struck at my hand before, and I handle him often.

So, we left the python be, and the pix feature black mexican kingsnake about 5 feet long.

OR you could leave your doors open overnight and hope it goes home...

This is the best solution, trust me, I have lost a lot of snakes in the house, water is the best attractant, a dish or bowl of water on the floor overnight with the doors open and it will find the water, then exit guaranteed!

Done! Wife mentioned the same thing too.

 Flour around the open doors all night is a great Idea... I'd have to know that it left.  GBG would looking for a new car... or gas and a match. 

To my wife .... a good snake is a dead snake!  I've seen her drive off the side of the road just to run down a snake!  Boy did I feal sorry for the guy holding it.....

I manned up and wore shorts driving on 17.  I'm about to change this thread to "how to keep a snake in the dash?" since it's been my lucky charm.

Hai - before you go for permanent snake residency status, check on the type of garter snake. The SF garter snake is on the Federally endangered species list......your car may be designated as Critical Habitat....and you'll need half a dozen State and Federal permits anytime you want to drive to the grocery store.
