Went camping last weekend and after waiting forever for my water to boil and chicken to cook I came to the conclusion its time to retire the old tabletop grill and coleman stove. I want an all in one unit. We are not mega campers but want something that we can use to grill and do some cooking (boil water, etc). Anyone use this one? They have an accessory stove grate so you can grill and cook. If there are other options let me know.

This is the one I use, Eric. I like it for the different cooking surfaces you can use.  http://www.cadac.co.za/products/product.php?pid=23

We have a old Costco three burner, the problem with it is, it's so damn heavy!!!! We have the bbq box and the big HEAVY flat griddle, but it does cook great!!! We are also looking into that Coleman Grill for a lighter day trip grill.
Thanks,
Jeff

I have the exact same one and used it last week @ Yosemite. Grilled up the skirt steak and filet mignon nicely, as well as cook rice, etc.
If u wanna use it, u know where to find me.

I've used the Road Trip grill and was actually impressed by the results. I only used it for bbq, but it was efficient and has the convenient collapsible feature. It is also nice that you can also get griddle plates that fit into the grill for that option. I'm not sure that I would choose it over a smaller two or three burner stove for boiling water or more cooking projects; hence the difference between a grill and and stove. There are some models out there that provide both options in one, here are a just a few of the many out there.

I have a Weber Q 100, its the bomb, it is very well made, portable and you can get different things for it.

http://www.weber.com/explore/grills/gas-portable/weber-q-100-2

Like a griddle : http://www.weber.com/accessories/category/cook#weber-q-griddle-modal

or a fish basket : http://www.weber.com/accessories/category/cook#small-fish-baskets-modal

Veggie basket: http://www.weber.com/accessories/category/cook#stainless-steel-small-vegetable-basket-modal

Roast holder: http://www.weber.com/accessories/category/cook#small-roast-holder-modal

Don't forget to keep it covered when not in use:  http://www.weber.com/accessories/category/cover/weber-q-#premium-cover-weber-q-100-gas-grills-modal

the grate is cast Iron, it is easy to use, doesn't take up much space.  We use ours for camping, grilling, blackening, and I don't know what else!  Great grill for the money.

Works great for starting campfires too, the old fashioned way-yeah!
