Very nice!!!

I've got that exact model and color in mind for my youngest in a couple of years.  Let me know when you're ready to upgrade in size.  :smt044

Nice yak!
I'm thinking of saving up (and saving my poor spine) and just ponying the cash for a Hobie. Where'd you find the deal?

quick note... those wheels.  They look from what I can tell to be the little ones with the short axle.  The uprights that go up into the scuppers are too damn short, and can torque around in there pretty good under the load of pulling the yak.  Long story short the upright posts on the wheels can punch through the hull inside the scupper tubes... extend those posts to prevent that.  Use pvc or wood doweling.

I mean find something of a proper diameter to extend the vertical posts on the wheel assembly.  The part that goes up into the scuppers on the kayak.  The tops of those posts should be at least level with the rear deck of the kayak to keep them from digging into the plastic inside the scupper.  It may not be a problem on the sport model, but it is on the outback.  I may need to draw a diagram of what I mean.

extend the upright by slipping some tubing of some sort over it, or a wood dowel inside of it or something so that they extend past the top of the scupper.
