I had to pass on this great deal (thanks again Ben and I do apologize for the inconvenience) but my truck needed some needed attention.

I snapped that up right away, picking it up Saturday.

I picked this yak up on Saturday and put it in the Stanislaus river Sunday from Knights Ferry to Orange Blossom Bridge. A popular run around here in Modesto, The yak worked out just fine now I'll rig it for fishing and go again. Thanks Ben, for a nice kayak at a nice price. I also better say that my wife went with me and dropped me off  then drove to the Orange Blossom bridge and waited for me, good thing we have a Kindle. Any body in the area want to fish that part of the river on weekends PM me.   

Hi, This is Sheila, wife of Outsideasy. Here's MY version of the last few days..
Hey look Honey, I just found a great deal on a new one! It's in Monterey, I'm gonna call the guy. [he did and during the conversation I told him it would be a fun trip for the two of us over there and back]. He made the deal and Saturday morning we left early, stopped at Casa de Fruta for breakfast, beautiful drive over Pacheco Pass and on into Monterey. We met a great couple...Ben and Marie and their two sons. After a very enjoyable hour or so of talking about the joys of paddling down the river or across a lake, we loaded the new toy and left for the store in Monterey. I waited in the car because I didn't want to walk from the only parking space we found...good plan, we weren't there very long. Back on the road with a great lunch at Grillin' and Chillin' just east of San Juan Bautista. Good day, good deal, really good people we met!
Now for today...a later than planned start up to Knight's Ferry found us circling the parking lot for a spot to unload. Finally found a friend to help haul stuff down to the river while I headed back down the road to the bridge and park where we were to meet. I got the very last parking spot available, in the shade too! Waited just 2 hours and was so surprised to see that very familiar smiley face...a SUPER happy guy! Yeah, another good day...but hopefully he doesn't expect a driver/waiter EVERY time he wants to paddle down the Stanislaus!!
