Hey, how did I get dragged into this :smt005?  Don't tempt me, I spent many years fishing the Monterey to Pt Sur side (power boat) and have some killer numbers too, unfortunately they're all LORAN numbers!  :smt003

I love to trash talk as much as the next guy, but DC vs me is like The NY Giants vs the Watsonville Wildcatz.  He has caught more halibut this year than I have in the last decade.

That being said, sometimes its better to be lucky than good  :smt002

I still have a handheld loran unit in the garage.  Thing looks like a radio from a WW2 war movie

We'll have plenty of people there.  Don't be shy, hook up with someone as a partner for safety and tutelege.  Also, review some of our safety first posts, make sure to dress correct and have the right gear!

Is the water pretty calm there? I really want to attend this, but my wheels suck. Had an extremely hard time dragging my kayak across the sand a couple week ago.

Its not that far from the beach to the parking lot. You will be fine. Its a great location for the event. I hope I can make it.
