My wife showed me this video. She said "That would freak me out" and I said "I think it would be cool.". Then I was thinking why might it jump on a kayak with a human and then the whole situation was a little freaky for me. It may have been trying not to become lunch for "SOMETHING.".

Sounds familiar.  Creepy!  What to do in this situation?  Be calm and try not to get shaky to shake things off.

A couple of years ago (Papa) Bill and I were doing Monterey Bay when a a small sea lion jumped in his lap and did a lap dance. Bill didn't like my explanation as to why the sea lion had done that. Bill was in the water at the time. :smt044

New CA law, all vessels comendiered by seals are now acting MLPA zones. Any fish on board must be given to the seal and the angler is liable for damages caused by your seal! :smt044

I had a huge knot head take a two inch rockfish off my lap in La Jolla once. scared the crap out of me.
So I'm packing my bags for the Misty Mountains, where the spirits go...........
