Anyone have any experience with wrist mount fish finders?  This one got some good reviews on Amazon, but am wondering if it is a piece of junk?  It costs $73.

It sounds like an interesting toy, put out by humminbird so it probably works as advertised, even with my reading glasses I'd never be able to focus on a 1 and 1/4 display.

If you get one I'd be interested in your review.

One other thought, it would be great mounted on a dive board or ab tube to give the diver an idea of depth on a bad vis day.  That is of course if it stands up to it's waterproof rating.

Hmmm, might have to try that myself.

They suck.  I had a couple way back when.  Leaked water into the battery compartment of the wrist unit very easily.  Floating transducers died easily.  Only metered to 100'.  Should've just gotten an Eagle way sooner.  Good luck.   :smt001

Interesting insight. Thanks!  How important is a FF if you are primarily fishing in the Bay?

very!.......you'll want to know depth, rocky or muddy bottom, and you might even find bait schools.

The only time I found them handy was when fishing tidewater for salmon from a pram and with a flyrod. They were used to get a depth and fish reading of a hole w/o rowing over it and spooking the possible school of fresh, willing fish. Otherwise, no.
If you don't know where you're headed, any road could get you there.

+1,depending on how your gonna use it I've seen people cast out the little green transducer with a rod.now I'm sure I'm wrong but I think technically that's consider a second rod.cause you have your line in the water.
My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it
