I heard on the radio today that HWY 1 @ Devils slide will remain closed until the end of September.  What does that mean you ask? It means plan ahead for your trips to HMB if your coming from the North.  92 after a certain Hour can be a parking lot, especially on a hot weekend.  (Mooch is expert on 92 so I expect him to give great direction for the HMB derby).  If you don't plan ahead it could add easily 1-2 hours on your drive for only a 5 mile road.

If you are coming from the south and want to go to Linda Mar you should plan accordingly.  The earlier you get on 92 the better chance you have to avoid traffic.  Going home avoid 1 altogether and take 101 or 280.  You don't want to go back down 92 in the middle of the afternoon, you won't get home until Rockfish and Salmon season close.

For me, I have to drive 45 minutes to go what used to take me 11.  Also after a great fishing day at LM we won't be able to head up to Ono for a nice lunch.  I guess we must bring the BBQ, or hit La Playa. :smt003

Mooch, I love Ono too. But unfortunately it is way out of the way for the time being. BBQ may be the way to go.

To add to that question. If you are heading south they make you turn around at Linda Mar. Having said that if you get that far you will have to back track 4 miles and waste gas. You should always get to 280 before Daly City to make sure you don't get caught up in the back tracking game.

Hey Mooch... ignore the map in the link I gave you.  The map is wrong.  L&L is even closer than shown.  It's so close you can just walk over from our beach parking lot.  Let's hit it for some loco moco one of these mornings!

I figured that you guys had already checked out that place and if it was any good you would have talked about it. My wife and i saw it when we came to Ono's for the awards lunch. Oh by the way Ohana Hawaiian Grill just opened this week in Santa Rosa. Loco Moco $5.95 Spam Musubi $2.95. I'll check it out next week.

A few years ago, I had trouble find a good Hawaiian joint, now they're popping up all over the place.  No complaints here!  :smt003
