So we are going to wait for the kings to come to us, in the meantime, Lake Mendocino is full of nice flattish water and yummy linesides. We'll be on the water by 10, south ramp, company welcome. VHF 69. Slow troll, fast boils and big fish.

Man...I'd join ya, but I'm off to Reno this week-end for my buddy's Bachelor Party.

In Loving Memory of Mooch, Eelmaster, Shicken, and Cabeza De Martillo

I started kayak fishing to get away from most of you...

Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

Mickfish: The sites where you guys were is much better, the one thats a site or two to the west, before the creek is the primo for kayak-camp, private-like shore nobody next to you, trees in the water for casting. Ours was a mud-walk. The frogs love it tho...
We're not camping, just a day trip to the south ramp. Red malibu two, me and Anita. And maybe a fish or two. Ben

KayakJames,7:00am  if you have a long-handled net you can net the native (smaller and dont live as long)shad along the shore at the s.launch.Blue colored net is suposed to be the best.I hooked-up on a 28" on the small shad that an old timer gave me at the launch, seemed best before sun-up.Go around the island thats straight out from lot and troll the shore,if you got a FF stick to the drop-offs,if not about 20'-30' from the shore and as the MASTER SEAN says"paddle SLOWLY"Do it :smt002

Fish were on today, but the umbrella was not the tool today...the blue net kicked a$$.  Unfortunately the right blue nets are nearly impossible to find, so I ordered four today to share with the posse. Bait shop has been opening around 0830...about 3 hours too late!
