Nice sized plainfin midshipman (Porichthys notatus). They are a cool fish that have photo phores which are the light producing cells under their body.

Thanks Wes for explanation and the link. I appreciate the clarity.

Glen, thanks for the ARW recon report brother! Bummer to hear that ya went home buttless, but it's nice to hear that some of our brothers did have some success :)

Although this tourney is gonna be stacked with some great fishermen, if I had to put $ down on the ARW tourney, I'd place it on you ;) Much success to you and everyone at next week's tourney!! :D

can anyone advise on the TapTalk app... will it make transferring pics easier?
worth getting?

thanks,
dave
Yes. Click a button and choose a pict or take one from the camera.
I have two paid apps on my iphone, one is a NOAA mapping thing called FlyToMap. The other is the TapaTalk. Worth the $3 if you're an NCKA junky.  :smt003

Btw, congrats to those who scored. I still hate ARW. I think it hates me. 13 attempts and not one bite, come on. That place owes me some fish.

Hey Wes, no worries...I understand! That's fantastic. Coming out of high school I had dreams of obtaining a degree in marine biology from humbolt state however, I got sidetracked by family, marriage and like lol.
Sorry you won't be able to make it Sunday.
Peace
