Does anyone know if live bait will be available to buy that morning at tackle shop like last year.

Brkeley may also have anchovies. There a lot of anchovies in the bay this year, so if you have the ability to keep delicate chos alive, you may want to match the hatch.
P.S. There are definatly a few nice hali being taken around the wall as of late.

Berkeley has live bait at K dock. His schedule is 530-1000 on weekends and 0600-0900 on weekdays i believe. All u guys need is a runner to pick up the bait and everyone can pitch in and share. The shiners @ mike's in oakland are running @ $2 a pop this year!

A shiner will stay lively on the hook for over 2 hrs, possibly much longer. Anchovies last 30-45 min before they effectively become dead bait. Rebaiting takes 5 or so min. Added up, thats a significant percentage of strike zone time in a 6hr comp......just a thought.

Mikes opens at 6 am - called today.  No chovies, shinners $20.00 for a dozen or $2.00 each.  Also road construction around his shop.
