By the end of summer I'm tan on my hands, feet, and face, and that's me wearing a hat & sunscreen when I'm on the water. My hands were taking a beating so I recently started wearing gloves just for the exposure protection.
In some ways we're lucky up here that when we kayak we're usually wearing pants and jackets.

I do strive for a nice flip-flop tan by September, like a badge of slacker honor, hey we all have our weakness!
