5/28 - Santa Cruz Big Butt Hookup - 6:30

WOO HOO !!!!  Just got the ok to go (at least for a few hours anyways as I have to be off the water by 12pm or I can kiss June 1 HMB good bye)! 

Are you guys planning on using live bait, swimbait, or squid?  Is everyone going to be on ch69?

Never launched or fished from SC and hoping to meet up with someone before hitting the water.

That's a LONG peddle from Tahoe!   Must be catching the red-eye trip back to SC....

Jarod and I launched at 7 am today, not great conditions but not bad. Dropped lines in at 7:30, drifted for 10 minutes---then the wind blew 25 to 30. Stuck it out for 1.5 hrs before we cried uncle. Just a couple of RF.
Nice to meet you DC and Papio, hope we can fish under better conditions.

  Jimgosc, Jarod and DC it was a pleasure to meet you all. I had a great time catching Rockies today but I think I had a better time riding those wind swells back to the harbor. 25-30 was about right, i need to get a headset or something because I couldn't hear a thing out there with that wind. hopefully conditions will be nicer on Monday.

Hi Rey and gang
Is the parking in area A free and can you park there all day?  Last time I was down there on a boat, I checked it out from the water.  It is a floating ramp perfect for carrying kayaks down.
