I'm sure there have been a few I don't know about, but this doesn't happen often. Spammers aside, I can only think of 3-4 bannings over the course of my signup, and that includes this one.

Yeah, you gotta want to get banned, to be banned. I mean I am a prime example! you guys ahve put up with me for how many years now? And I have yet to be banned, often ignored, but never banned.   :smt006

I think you mods are all messed up! Dont apologize for doing it! That only adds to the pussification of America. At some point, we will become so bad, that a track meet is just that. Let's meet on the track, all of us, run if you can, walk if you must, we will all cross the line as winners! YEAH!! In ten years, on that screwed up antique show, people will be like, 'what is this strip of blue fabric?" that is a first place ribbon, virtually worthless, it was once given as a grand gesture of significant individual achievement!

ban him, cast out, reel, cast out, reel. repeat.... Life is good.

You forgot keel hauling, it was tough but it what had to be done was done.

While I respect the decisions made by the mods, it is my opinion that action was completely unnecessary.

Problems tend to take care of themselves with a group of this caliber and integrity.

LOL...I couldn't stop laughing after I read this, but its so true.

I wasn't at the event, but just reading about what had happened got me all worked up.  Not in any position to make judgements about a person I have never met, but everyone's opinions/comments aligned towards this person being a real jackass at the campgrounds & event.  Really sucks he got banned, but honestly, Anthony is a big boy and he should have known better of what to expect from his actions.  Sure everyone makes mistakes in life, however to what extent can you excuse it as just an "accident?"  NCKA seems to be one of the more laid back and forgiving forum.  Forums like Fishsniffer is no joke, I have seen people get banned for sly remarks which I do find to be rude, but not quite enough to ban someone IMO.

Tough call, but glad the mods did the right thing.  Thanks for making this a better place for everyone fellas.

While I got a smile out of George Carlin's line, where was the apology?  What I read from Tote's report back to us members was, 1) the guy was out of line, 2) we don't don't allow that type of behavior in our club, 3) we talked about it, and 4) we took away his membership.  It was just a report on what and why they did something.  Clubs have been doing that sort of thing since forever, nothing new there.

I was happy they took the time to let us know what happened.  Thanks Tote.

Anthony was totally out of line that night.. I was there and watched it happen. I don't know him and he may be the nicest person in the world but when you get up in peoples faces and then throw a beer bottle across the camp toward another member you pretty much cross the line. I don't care who you are, the second you can't explain your decisions or remember what you did the night before no matter how much you drink it doesn't matter. I personally have never, AND WILL NEVER drink more than I can handle. If a drunk driver happens to kill your family and says they are sorry does it make you feel any better about the situation??   Bad decisions are bad decisions regardless. Most everyone is here for the same reason, good friends, & good fun, he was neither!!

I agree Eric. But it would've resulted in some seriously awkward situations! It's probably better for him in the long run. And it's definitely better for the club.
Tough decision? Maybe.
The right decision? Absolutely!

OK so I admit that this guy COULD have been a really awesome guy to be friends with, he seemed to want to party and have a good time, before he tried to fight the A-HULLS for some reason......straight up walked up and got all over Andy with no provoking I gotta tell you Pat and Eric it was the wierdest Sh*t I witnessed in a long time. Andy kept his cool and that was the saving grace of the whole messed up situation. Because if we had all done what we SHOULD have done, that guy would have pressed charges. Dude was acting strange. Had he maybe came up to us the next day and apologized, things may have ended up differently. But as it was he was really messed up to alot of nice people besides us, for no reason apparent to the rest of us.

I respect your opinion Eric and I feel bad that he can't post on here anymore, but yeah, I don't think I want to get to know this guy.
I'm still walking, so I'm sure that I can dance...

I only meant that he was pretty much effectively banned as soon as the details became public knowledge, regardless of his official status (how out of control do you have to be to piss off ANDY???  Now we know!)

Hey hey hey! I piss off Andy all the time! That porn-stache raiderette, hillbilly no fish catchin, clicker ab pickin, guy! yeah him! He is the only mexican-american with the blood type: Manteca. His wetsuit has more holes than the Iraq Navy, and he gets wet. All over his back. Is that why everyone calls him wetback? I am just a public school kid, help me out here, I want to understand!

disclaimer:
I love Andy, not like that  :smt008, more like that :smt014, and it is all in good humor and fun. No animals were hurt making this post, and no fish were injured by Fishmaster1.
