Jim Martin of Santa Cruz Kayaks (http://www.santacruzkayaks.com/) has very generously donated the brand new SOT Raptor for the grand prize of this years 2012 Pay It Forward event!!

We are EXTREMELY excited about being able to offer this awesome kayak as our grand prize this year.

A fishing kayak made by an NCKA member, donated to help an NCKA member.

Doesn't get much cooler than that!!   :smt004 :smt007 :smt004

Here is a description, and some pics:

New for 2012 the Raptor ST is predicted  to be a little faster than the original sit-inside model.
Features include;
-Center storage compartment and easily accessible bow storage hatch
-Slots provided on each side for retaining  spear guns or keeping rods flat on the deck while running through the surf zone
-Recessed scupper hole in the cargo well designed to fit  the Attwood  live bait pump.
-Accessories include a live bait tank fitted with four rod holders that can also serve as a cargo locker or  live well.
-Weight capacity  increased to 355 lbs.
-Weight still to be determined, but fully rigged it should be very similar to the original Raptor at 60 lbs
-MSRP expected to fall under 1,000 dollars

Thanks again to Jim Martin and Santa Cruz Kayaks!!!!

 :smt006

Sincerely,

Jim

When can I pre-ordering my winning ticket?  I would love to see some pics with it on a Wheeleez if possible, so I know what size to order.  :smt005  I am thinking "Squidder K" in some German /Gothic lettering on the bow would set that off very nicely! :smt044

Maybe I am missing it, but are there no scupper holes in the boat?  Does tha tmean it rides dry?

Congrats on the new boat Mr. Jim Martin! Lots of features that many of us already use and like. Thanks for the donation to PIF. This will be my first year at PIF and I already can't wait. It was hard last year not being able to attend. I have already marked it down in the calander.

Squidder K, the Beach Wheeleez will work perfect. I will have to bring mine just to be safe.
