Been watching this for a while. I'm mixed on it. Having eaten whale in Bergen Norway and really enjoyed it I find myself more in favor of the fisherman.
Please don't ban me here for that opinion. I promise I won't catch any whales and keep them. Just watching that show for a five hr straight marathon it starts to get to u.

I'm kinda on the fence about that show to, I admit I'd try whale if I had the opportunity but understand where they are coming from, and what they are fighting for. But I don't think their going about it the right way.

The way I see it, what the "Sea Sheaperds" are doing is only the first small step in a lengthy process but they want it done immediatly. IMO it will take a much larger depletion of whale population of a majority of the species for the right person or organization to recognize the problem and take action.

All that being said, you just never know whether what your seeing onreality tv is the producer or the subject making decisions.

the thing that cracks me up is that the people that go on those missions are tender , compare them to the crab guys and theres no contest , theres always some drama going on or someones hella frail and gets hurt by tripping on a banana peel or some other lame thing. they spend way too much time crying .

I started watching them and figured the whales were bummed.  All of humanity and these are the nuts you send to protect us?  My wife is cheering for the whales, I am on the philosophical fence between the taking of tuna vs whales.

Then they actually managed to cut the harvest short.  Damn, those dirty f'ing hippies did it.

When shark_bait was diving and bringing me his fish to gut, he brought up the fact that I was the Nishin Maru, the factory ship  :smt003

Sorry man that's the same groupe of jerks that are using vigilantly justice to police the MPLA. I've witnessed countless altercations between the sea Shepard group and the public at the children's pool in la jolla. Watch the YouTube videos by a guy named ethan it's classic. No respect for them or the way they conduct buisness. I pratice CPR on my own and don't need some hipster with a vegan neck tattoo to tell me what he thinks about fishing
