Well I made it back home after leaving the oyster point derby, but got in to an accident on the Bridge near the toll going north. Guy rams my rear fender and pushes me into the car in front. What a bummer, as I will be ooc for any derby for now. Was able to drive home tho and finally got home at 1:30 am. I think I will be making a rule and only go to derbies that are no farther than 3 counties away; it is too hard driving half a state to kayak with friends. Again thanks for another good time kayaking.

man, people just dont pay much attention anymnore when driving. i was on my way up 101 yesterday with my wife in her little honda civic and this lady in a big gold cadillac switched to the lane next to us and promptly made her way into the side of our car almost hitting it. i coudn't find the horn buttin in time and she just looked at us weird and proceeded like she did nothing wrong. if i was in my hoopty i would have let her hit me and then collect insurance money for it. god knows how many times i have thought of doing that. i know someday i will give into temptation and do it when a jerkoff in a fancy car comes along. i dont know why i just have a feeling that i would be willing to wreck my car sometimes. maybe i am a little off kilter.

Oh Man, just wait untill you do everything right when stopping at 50mph on a bridge and you look in the rear view mirror and see someone on the phone, drive smack into your rear fender' oh, and better yet have them push you into the car in front of you. I think what saved me was I had my brakes on when he hit me. Good thing the lady in front of me was not hurt, and both her and I were able to drive our vehicles off the bridge, but the guy in the rear was pushed off the bridge by the tow-truck. I hope everyone thinks about strapping down and maybe locking down their kayaks; it saved my rig. l8er!
