GS6: forgot whether there's Verizon cell service @ Shelter Cove

can't remember from GS4 whether there was cell service for Verizon. Gotta do some minimal work and need to check email from my phone...

Good luck with that one buddy. Youre probably better off with a messenger pigeon.

Harmanapochiapi (sp?) has a booster that gets his Verizon signal to work but the signal was weak.

Is there a pay phone or land line near by?

There's a pay phone by the camp ground in front of Marios Motel but last time I was there it was out of service. Not sure if it is operational now.

There is another one at the Motel at the top of Lower Pacific across from the Chart Room restaurant. The motel name changed a few years ago it used to be known as the Shelter Cove Motor Inn.

There may be others but those are the ones I'm aware of.

Some cell phones work but my Verizon sucks there.

My wife has AT&T and hers works better than mine but not by much.

Maybe someone else knows of a spot where you can stand for the best service.

The motels have wi-fi.  I have made Skype calls but never been able to get a cellular connection I have ATT.

Stay home.

I was getting Verizon service there last month, but it was phasing in and out with "Extended Service", and all that seemed to kill my iphone battery pretty fast.

At least leave the phone at home!  Enjoy the fishing and the company!

I had Verizon service on the deck in front of the store/cafe....I can't remember if I got reception in the campground or not.

Last time I was there I was able to get on NCKA and post, but it was extremely slow.  It worked though.
