not likely prickly sculpin, look more like staghorn sculpin, they can get very large and are more euryhaline than the pricklys. Do they have antler-like "staghorn" projections coming off of the gill covers?

I do believe they do have antler like thing when you hook 'em. thay don't seem to like that :smt002

I believe it is a prickley sculpin here is one I caught sampling in the delta last year. Sculpins can have spikes near their head it is definitely not a staghorn I see them every day at work.
