I ordered one of these last week, fed up with my Cuda 350 which I didn't properly care for  :smt012  So I went ahead and ordered one of these:

Anyone have one? or the other DSI model?  I'm curious what the transducer looks like, and haven't been able to find a pic of it yet.  If you have one, mind posting a pic of it for me?

Any other comments on them if ya have one?  :smt002  I'm really hoping this will help in locating fish in deep water lakes like Salmon and Kokanee.

Your gonna love the color screen.  I recently installed a new Garmin color fishfinder and it's amazing how much easier it is to see what's going on below.

The color units seem to be a little harder on the battery.  I have an 8 amp hour sealed lead acid battery and it looks like it will hold up for a couple of days use.  I haven't used it multiple days yet but looking at the amperage on the charger after a full day of fishing, it appears to still have more than 50% left.  I don't think I would want to try the AA batteries like I used to do with my old finder.

EWB, Thanks man!  May be plug-n-play then with my trandsucer puck!  :smt003

Yeah, I fully expect it to draw more on the battery, which for me only lasted 2-3 days on my Eagle 350  :smt012  I used to use the AA's but eventually decided it was easier to charge one brick for two days of fishing than to spend two days charing my AA's for one day of fishing  :smt044  I've always kept the AA holder as a backup though  :smt002

I have a DSI model, the DSI xducer is a small and cylinder shaped, maybe 4" long and less than 1" in dia. I  gooped mine on the bottom of the xducer sucpper of my T13, without its mounting bracket. It doesn't protrude beyond the bottom of the hull and it's still there after last years RF season.

They did not have this at the time, I will probably see if it will work.

The DSI xducer is the 2nd one down on the right.

Ah, thank Eric!  Doesn't look like it will fit the cuda puck I have though.  Will have to try a temporary mount for the weekend, if it arrives in time ;)

It just arrived at my work, and yes its the same as this transducer Eric posted.  Boy, its really thin!  Only about 3.5 inches long and 3/4" wide.  Going to take some ingenuity to mount this puppy!

Well, i'll see how it works this weekend on FW, and probably next weekend on the salt  :smt002  Will report back how well it works.  I'm using the Duct Seal waterbath method, and so far I'm pretty stoked!  That was the easiest FF install i've EVER done!  :smt003

I just got one too, w/o the GPS. I ordered one of those Lowrance scupper mounts for it. Can't wait. Digital imaging looks badass........
So I'm packing my bags for the Misty Mountains, where the spirits go...........
