Hit the park around 5:00, with a new reel. The previous Spirex 2000 having been sidelined due to internal failure. Stayed on the sunny side of the lake, making my way all the way to the end, doing some fishing and scouting. Picked up a 19" bass off of a point, on a Shad Rap. That was it for bass, but on the way back I tossed a mini tube and brought 5 crappie to hand. All of them little puny buggers though. All in all, a great way to christen the new reel. More positive news, is my new minicell padded seat is all that and a bag of popcorn. Better seating position, and gets my butt out of the water.  I'm even thinking of putting another inch on top of the 1 3/4" that I just put in. On the negative side, somehow the 6 lb ball came unclipped from the anchor line while I was retrieving it, and is now in about 20 feet of water across from the boat ramp. Grrrr...
