We are going to redo our yard.  It was entirely concreted over and we have plans to put in a vegetable garden, an Asian themed sitting area with some sort of water feature was well as an outdoor kitchen.

We like the idea of a creek with running water.  We have the elevation for it.  I'll besearching for companies that sell the kits.

The outdoor kitchen is my dream project.  I would like to have a wood burning oven as the center piece.  looking at buying a kit as well, or if someone has built one from scratch I would like to discuss with them.

I am posting this because there are so many guys here that have done this, and I've learned so much about so many different subjects here that I wanted to throw this out to get some ideas.

Thanks,
Nate

Nate, I have always wanted an outdoor pizza/bread oven.  I have found that there are a lot of people who build them from scratch on you tube.  I have absolutely no masonary skills other than adding water to a bag of pre-mix.  Look around it can be done.

Granite remnants! Prefab countertop remnants make good outdoor cooking areas. Easy to clean. I used two 5+ ft. remnants to make a corner work area. Paid 25 -$30 each. Leftover sink cutouts etc make good stepping stones or would be good lining the bottom of water features. Some of the Chinese stone places even have new 8 ft bullnose countertops for 50 -$60

If you want a lower maintanance water feature, go with pondless. The light doesn't cause alge to grow and won't allow skeeters to grow either!
