GF and I were Loletaeric's video's last night and watched as he floated down the Eel.  At one point I thought he was going to camp overnight, but I guess he didn't.  Have any of you camped up on one of those great northern rivers?  What time of year was it, which river, how did you arrange for put in and take out.

I am sure there is more than couple of us who would not mind doing an overnighter on one of those legendary rivers.

My wife and I spend many nights a year on the upper Sacramento between Anderson, CA and Butte City.. there are a number of spots to put in that would have about a 10+/- mile drift to get back out. I is great...We fish both day and night...some of the best are the strippers and excellent eating channel cats at night.  Day time is usually spent on salmon or catching bait for the evening and night or just a great afternoon nap.  Very few people do it and their are many wonderful beaches and spots to stop.  I would love to do the same on some of the coastal rivers sometime..If you plan a trip and want someone to join with you please let me know....

dans (paddleboy84) parents just left for 2 nights on shasta on their kayaks. leaving jones valley boat ramp, paddling up the pit river arm to Arbuckle flats about 6 mi. then returning to jones valley ramp. Maybe we should do a copy cat trip this summer. That far up river is prime sturgeon grounds I hear
