Thanks for the link Howard.  Hope they don't make it here in California.

I watched a "Discovery Show" about them a while ago.  Scary fish!  If they actually take off, say in the Delta,
Kiss good buy pretty much all the other fish.

The dreaded snakehead. I've seen that Discovery special. Them things are vicious!

Some of these states have resorted to poisoning entire fisheries/ecosystems in an effort to kill the bastards. Pretty desperate moves to fix a problem some moron created.  :smt013

First saw them on River Monsters where the host was topwater fishing for them with frogs.  They were talking about how they were being sold as pets in some shops I think in Florida?  When I travel to Virgina for work I know that there are signs posted by the Potomac saying there are snakeheads in there.

Here is a clip of the rivermonsters epiosode:

"Frankenfish" is a cheap horror film about giant, GE snakeheads. Seems the best way to kill them is with fanboat fanblades :smt002

Off with their heads!!!  My brother in law caught a few in Florida.  The rule in all fishing communities is to kill every snakehead you come across.

From the article linked above:

Quote
The fish is popular in Asia as food, and experts surmise the introduction of the fish to U.S. waters is due to people intentionally putting them in so they can fish them out later.
