so i was talking to dan (paddleboy84) at headwaters in lodi about a keel guard and he said he uses a product called keel eazy i put some on my kayak today and it went on really easy  and took plenty of abuse form my knife just wanted to see how durable it is. it is very durable there was no damage to the guard i was going to use fiberglass but i think this is a much better solution

I put some on my Eddyline Caribbean with Dan at the shop and I was impressed with how well it took a beating on the water. I have gone down the Moke and the Sacramento River in Redding and it helped keep the boat looking great. Also helps when dragging the boat up a ramp or onto some rocks.  This is an awesome product. Dan carries many different colors.

I'm interested in that product :smt002
Does it come in a standard size or are different sizes available?
How much does it go for?

How is the adhesion holding up?? I'd hate to have my yak on top of my truck with that thing flying on the freeway.

Tad, Comes in all shapes and sizes and widths. Mom and dad can hook you up with a sample I'm sure. I think they only stock the 2" but can get 3" 4" etc.

The stuff attaches with some super goopie tape. You heat it up to apply it and its not going anywhere. Then when you want to take it off you hit it with the heat gun again and it peals off. Haven't lost one yet.

Tad I put some on a boat last week, it's easy to work with if you have a heat gun. It's sold by the foot and you need the length of your boat plus 2' depending on the hull shape of your yak. You want one long strip to do the whole yak bow to stern

I know Dan won't be at Berry, but if people want to pre-purchase I can deliver to berry.

The product looks good, I found a site that sells it, they only have 2" wide and it goes for $4 a foot (not cheap)
to do my Revo about $56 .

Yikes!! That's a bit more expensive than I envisioned for a strip of sticky tape. I must admit I am less interested now  :smt012

Can't u just apply to the rear 2 feet of the yak since if u lift from the bow, only the rear edge surface touches the concrete?

Peace 2 U
