Lowrance Mark-4 fishfinder/chartplotter.

After 3 faithful years of abuse my ff finally died on me.  I am looking to replace it, and I like the look of the Lowrance mark-4.  Has anyone used the mark-4?

I think that is the one I used on Erics 4.3 yesterday. Did not play too much with it, but it has a pretty good picture. seems like it would be nice. Ask Eric if that is the one.

That was actually the Elite-4, same as the Mark-4 but in color.

Either is a great unit, but for the price I prefer the color (easier to see w/ my bad eyes)
F.W. sells the Mark-4 for $199.99, but if you don't need GPS, the Elite-4x is only $169.99
Add That to the NO SALES TAX this Fri. & Sat. and that's a great deal.

Get the GPS.

I just saw that very FF in my Cabela's catalog about 20 minutes ago. I thought for a 2 in 1 unit it looked like a great deal. Kind of wish I'd gone that route.

Adam, my friend just got the Elite4 combo and really likes it so far. The GPS chip is super fast and stays locked on the sats very well.

I just purchased the lowrance E 4 chart plotter with GPS with the gold package charting installed for $369 from West Marine. Looking forward to testing it out! You can also purchase additional charts.
