Anyone ever do any forming? I have a few knives that could use a sheath. I wanna try it. There are plenty of vids out there. But I figured I ask here.

I made one before. Didn't like it for the following reasons...
1) The kydex will loosen up after some use, unless you devise some sort of locking mechanism.
2) If dirt/sand gets in the sheath, your blade will get scratched.
3) Many of the sheath designs out there are made to wear around the neck where the knife is hanging up-side-down. I don't want the knife to fall out from my neck.

For my simple needs, I ended up making sheaths from wood.

Too bad I already gave away my riveting tool or else I would pass it on to you.

I may try some ghetto versions out of soap bottles or the heavy duty black plant containers. I'll post em when I make em

You can hot mold thin pvc pipe as a cheap kydex substitute.
