So how many noodles fits in an average size kayak. I have 2 Hobie Quest and 1 OK Malibu XL2?

Dave I can easily get 20 in my Quest and still have room for my backpack/batter box/jacket up front.  As Tad said, I don't think it'll keep your ride stable enough to be fully functional, but to keep it buoyant enough to have something to hang on to and keep from losing your entire ship.  I think this summer we need to head out to WTown for some testing on how many noodles, how will it paddle when full, etc.

I got 24 of the smaller (2.5"dia. X 4' long) noodles today at Dollar Tree in Arcata.  After getting really creative I could get 19 in my T11 without sacrificing my hull storage for camping gear and rods ( I can still get my 7' one piece rods in there with Penn reels attached).
I had to really squeeze to get three noodles deep between the scuppers and the outer hull and I did connect them with 6 inch lengths of half inch PVC pipe.  The last three I curled up around the battery bag under the lip of the front hatch.
You could probably get a few more in a T13 but not much more than 24 tops if you want your storage space.
I am going to have to test it out with a full hull and see what it does.  I remember LoletaEric's youtube video and was pretty impressed but, I think he had a lot more noodles and a couple of crab floats if I remember right. :smt004
At this point was grumbling about needing a stiffer noodle so my wife snaps this pic and posts the quote on facebook...Thanks Hon

Remember that even if the test float works that when you ad gear it will be heavier. When you test load make sure the equivalent amount of weight is added for the test.

Nice work Hon,
I still need to "stuff" my Hobie Revolution,
I will have to get creative as well,
I'll have to be careful not to hinder rudder line operation, battery access and storage space :smt002

Man, I wish I could bring my boat in the living room!  On cold nights I'd just sit there in it playing Rapala Pro Angler on the Wii while drinking a jack/coke. Hmm, the wife is heading out for a girls night tonight, how many WAF points would I burn if she came home to that?  :smt003

Hey, I don't have a garage and it was raining.
The key to the WAF points was to buy the wife a kayak too.  She does not fish but, loves her sightseeing and picture taking and now she is more hooked on paddling than I am.
I bought a farmer john wetsuit today on sale, great deal and...... bought my wife a pair of Kokatat dry pants.
You can see how this works.
I have not had to sleep on the yak .....yet. :smt001

Now to figure out TWO new rod and reel combos...That might cost me big. :smt009
