When California splits into two VIABLE states ( that rules out the laughable far north thing), which counties do we want with us?
That puts the line running from monterey all the way over to mono. We might have to give em mono, and draw it at tuolumne though.
We want to keep silicon valley, all the delta, and most of the San Joaquin, and of course Yosemite.
You end up with two viable states...probably 15th and 16th so largest economies in the world...

That way when the Democratic State of Northern California secedes from the nation, we don't end up being some puppet of the US since we are so dependent on their foreign aid $.

I was always under the impression Nor Cal was North of LA as well.  I guess if you look at directions, their is North, South, East and West.  Where the heck does Central come from?  How about we go with far North and far South.  You guys are all great in my book.  Tight lines my friends.  It's all good!

When I was growing up in SoCal I always felt like anything north of Bakersfield was NorCal. When I lived a short time in Yreka I learned they considered NorCal anything north of Chico. Now that I live in Idaho the people around here refer to both areas as "Who cares, it's all f#cking California"  :smt044

When California splits into two VIABLE states ( that rules out the laughable far north thing),

Whoa slow down there.  What makes a state VIABLE?  Is California as currently comprised a viable state? How about Wyoming?

Some of the chief complaints about the government in Sacramento by those of us in the far north is that our interests are not adequately represented and our local needs are not adequately addressed.  Imagine how offensive it might be when our viability is dismissed out of hand, with no explanation of what exactly VIABLE means, and using patronizing terms like "laughable".

So no, you haven't ruled out anything.  Citations needed.  Show your work.

And I really don't care who considers themselves northern Californian.  Telling me that Jefferson State is not viable is fightin' words.

I don't know what the Southern boundary of Nor Cal is, but if living in Nor Cal is a prerequisite for NCKA then the way I see it the Colorado line is the Eastern boundary.  :smt006
