So what does define Norcal anyways?  Up here in Mendo and Humboldt, we barely tolerate Marin-ites as referring to themselves as Norcals.  And anyone in the bay area and south are just a bunch of posers  :smt044

Just thought I's stir up some.......you know what.  hehe

Every time I feel like I should leave California I count about 20 counties that I'd take with me.  State of Jefferson.

Lol Dave stirring the pot.

I did a little more research and found the map for Northern California.  According the this map, NorCal starts a little South of Point Sur close to San Antonio.

I'm not really sure how serious people are here and sarcasm and irony have a way of not traveling very well across the Internet. Northern California as a geographic concept is one of the least agreed upon terms I have ever known. I've heard people use definitions that would exclude Yuba City and others that would include Bakersfield.

I think it is funny when people get offended when someone from well south of them consider themselves northern Californian. Like stealing a badge of honor or diluting someone's street cred.

That said, when I am philosopher king, Sonoma, napa, yolo, Sacramento, and El Dorado will miss the cut. Sorry guys :D
