No doubt...I've been doing more scouting on Google Earth to find smaller waters that are closer to home.  We're pretty lucky up here, within 15 minutes I can be on Shasta, Whiskeytown, the Sac, and probably a dozen smaller ponds.  And don't forget the excitement of super stealthy nightime Ninja golfcourse fishing!  :smt001

Ya I get around 10 mpg towing my travel trailer. Usually when I go the whole fam goes. Won't make  gimmie shelter this year. Already saving for Albion. It's insane.

Nice new neon avatar pic by the way.

This x 1000.  Sweetest avatar I've seen since Adam's Fishunter Raider Shield.  Well done.

Regarding fuel....I try not to think about it but it does affect where or if I go in scratch conditions........stupid oil dependency   :smt012

I ONLY go to whoever has the cheapest gas in my city. Lately some gas stations here have been as much as $0.25 cheaper than others. It's one place where I don't mind waiting in line, because if everyone only bought gas from the cheapest station then the other stations would take note and would be wise to lower their prices a little.

Yeah I'm lucky if we get 8mpg in ours. Usually around 7mpg going up to Ocean Cove.

So I'm packing my bags for the Misty Mountains, where the spirits go...........

90% of my fishing is done within 30 miles, but where it will change my patterns is in arranging more fishing for the long trips I do make. If I spend 2 days fishing then it pulls my fuel-per-trip cost down.

I am really happy that I have my 22MPG pickup and 25mpg honda but I wish the numbers were closer to 35mpg.

ugh, you said it art...stupid oil dependency. Who can invent a car that runs on fish carcasses?

I am thankful my company has just closed our branch and we all work from home now! Just in time for this gas increase, let's just hope they don't just decide to lay us all off now though. Well even though the Montezuma has not been producing for me lately , the good thing is ,it is only 5 minutes from my house and bait store on the way. Now if I can onyl catch a damn sturgeon back there :smt013.

They do already.....the carcases just need to be 10 billion years old and imbedded two miles beneath the earths surface.  If one could make a vehicle that ran on fresh carcasses....teh ocean would be depleated of all life within a couple years.

Thanks. I was going to have this neon sign made. It's 32'' x 24'' but the cost would have been $469.. OUCH!
Instead I bought an LED writing board. Pretty badassed at 1/8th the cost. Does more too.

WOW they just dont seem to be changing for the better any time soon. Was thinking if California would just require Full service it would create thousands of jobs for californians and put money into the actual economy.
Works for the states that do require it.
