Joel,

I am just saying that the really great fishermen may not want to tell you their secrets.  Knowing that you will spill the beans.

You know it was my lure and that if I wanted to tell the world I would have.

You think Keith Frazier or any of the experts tell you everything.  No Way, they let you figure it out.  By trial and error.

Hola from Singapore.  About to get on a plane to the Maldives!

I must say I agree with Ken on this one, which is one reason I didn't actually say what the "Kenja" was.  That being said, if I'm fishing with any one of you, I'll be more than willing to let you know every last secret I'm using that day to try to catch fish.  If I want the world to know, then they all gotta fish with me.  Hmmm ... I usually tell anyway.  Besides, it's not usually the lure/color that is important.  If you can answer "why" that lure in that color fished that way was hot that particular day, then you have reached fishing enlightenment.  More points to you if that lure was the first one you reached for that day.

IF everyone in this board kept their secrets from everybody else....then why post your fishing success in the first place? If Erik K and Sean / Scwafish did not share their fishing knowledge with us about Sturgeon / Striper fishing, we'd be all looking for answers else where.

I had success using the shad rap / trolling at Del Valle and I was Happy to share that info. with everyone else - no big deal. Just happy to share my success. Earlier in the season, I also had success catching stripers (in the Bay and Forebay) with my red & white rattle trap - I even had Jdyak take a photo of the lure that I used and posted it. I shared that info. with everyone else and I was more than happy to (whether you fish with me or not.)  :smt023

IMO: this board is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to kayak fishing - especially for the less experienced and for those who are just getting started. I will continue to share what I know and what works and I hope every one in this board does the same.

BUT...if you want to keep secrets - that's fine - I can respect that - just don't tell me cause I WILL spill the beans on ya (unless you ask me not to). I love catching fish and I enjoy seeing others catch as well.

Joel... I agree.  I too like helping my friends catch more fish.  And when someone turns me on to a hot tip that works... I never forget to thank and give that person credit.

Joel,

No body spilled the beans until you did.  That should have giving you a hint.  No wonder why the two best fisherman you and I know DON'T SAY A WORD TO YOU!

Joel, a Woman of the Night would not give out free ones.  No one who come back.  Enough...said...let drop it.  But, that is the last time I will every tell you how to fish.

But, that is the last time I will every tell you how to fish.

that's a pretty bold statement - considering the fact that I introduced you to the shad rap at Lake Del Valle and the slip bobber at Steven Creek.

These are the same guys I've been kayak fishing with ever since I started kayak fishing....these are the guys I've learned from and still fish with.

Am I going to have to separate you two!!!   :smt018

Joel... go to your room... yes... without dinner.... now go!    :smt089

Ken... spend 30 minutes in your "naughty corner" for the way you've been talking to Joel.   :smt012

OK... that ought to do it... I don't want to hear another word about who said what to who and who won't tell who anything and I defnitely don't want to hear any more about "women of the night"  :beat  from Ken... that's just nasty!   :smt078

Can't we all just get along?   :smt056
