After 7 years of paddling and tin of research and test drives I finally pulled the trigger on a bran new Hobie Revo.
To Pat R  i took a picture of the new seat peg bushings for you.

What the heck is the grey stick thingy  on the underside of the rear circle hatch.

Nice ride.  Thought you were going with the AI?

Ask the dealer about the grey thing.  Some sort of tool is my guess.

Its an extra rudder pin. It connects your rudder to the kayak.  Mine broke 1 mile offshore off MBK and I didn't have an extra one.

Was originally gonna go for the ai but now the wife wants a tandem so 4 yaks in my garage leaves no room for an ai. I don't feel like I settled for a Revo I really like it

Keep that extra pin with you!! Two weeks ago my wife was helping me unload my revo and I slipped and it fell of my Yukon:( fortunately it was on grass. My rudder pin did break and I didn't have my spare. Thank god I watched a few episodes of Mcgiever. I ended up melting both ends and sticking it back together. Then using the sandpaper on the step of my trailer to smooth it out. Slid right back in and lasted the whole next day on amador for a nice skunking.

I remember someone pointing out I didn't have one in that spot on the hatch cover after the one on my rudder bent all to hell when the rudder got caught on some kelp. Had to pedal and use that thingy that people w/o hobies are constantly dipping in the water and pulling out over and over and over. Yea, that thing.   :smt044  Anyway I had to use that thingy to steer while I pedaled.
I ordered a couple of new pins to fill those empty slots...ya never know. It's also great being able to fix what could be a major problem when you are a mile or so from shore.

Jeez - You're going to be the fastest one on the water when you put all your appendages into hyperdrive.

Have loads of fun with it.

What's to be sorry for James? If anything, good for you because sooner or later, everybody will also have a Hobie. It is a great kayak and I love it. I use my T13 in the not so friendly launch and landing. :smt002 Congrats on your new ride. BTW, I am saving up now for the Tandem mirage drive.

Don't be sorry!  Many of us believe the dark side is "where it's at".
