I heard the only live bait you can use here is worms.  Is that true?

don,

I can't make the event as I will be on a trip..agonizing as I live 5 mins away from Main Rec entrance..

If you need a couple yaks I have 2 tandem MalibuIIs with accompanying jackets and paddles..someone will need to pick them up though but it is close.

drop me a pm if interested.
thanks,
dave

Don,

GF is onboard for this event.  She would be happy to give paddle lessons to anyone who is interested.  She used to guide back on the East Coast.  One of the few people I know who can do a no hands eskimo roll (sea kayak).

Is it true that someone caught a Sturgeon from San Pablo Reservoir?

this pic was fwd to me by a friend who was at the cleaning station near main rec last year..

I bet the fisherman didn't have a sturgeon card...nor know the size slot.

I always thought that the Report card (the one you get when you buy your day fee) listing Sturgeon was full of crap until I saw this photo

Hey Everyone   :smt006

Thanks for stepping up Everyone!!!

Been a little busy with other stuff so sorry not be updating ...

were still waiting on a count from the VA, I told them somewhere around a dozen +/- for kayaking and will also open this up to bank fishing for another 6 or so that do not want to kayakfish or are not able to kayak. So that puts us around 20 participants...

More to come and Thanks daviator,  I just might take you up on that... Malibu tandems are perfect for this kind of thing

Here is the link for rates and fees for SPR. It looks like we can get in at 6:30 AM

http://www.ebmud.com/sites/default/files/pdfs/rates%20fees%20hours%20&%20boats%202012_0.pdf
We will more then likely need to be there at that time to prepare everything and be ready by the time the vets and staff show up. I will start a lunch thread.  I hear we get another killer Turkey from Howard! So sandwiches and dogs maybe some chili. Might be cold so the usual, coffee, hot choc, and cider.

Randall, I haven't heard from Frank if he wants to cook the turkey. If not, I still have about 25 hamburger patties (makes approx 50 burgers).

Not a Bad start, we could use more help as another Vet center is now interested in showing up,

we also are going to have some non-ncka volunteers and hope that they will be able to help with shore fishing duties.

I'm pretty sure we have a bass boat OTW for support, but were still working out the 2 stroke thing...

Were going to be at the Rec Area and more to come

I've got PFD's for my yaks too. A couple rods for use also. If we need extra yaks transported from Sac area I can do again. I can carry 8 and only have 3. I will check with Lincoln PD to see why they have 6 yaks in there storage yard. Check on them volunteering them to us.
