Hello everyone....its been a few weeks since I've joined and been overwhelmed with the amount of information that's available on the site.  Just wanted to drop a line and say hi to all the NCKA members.  I've been fishing for a long time but never from a kayak.  Matter of fact, I don't own a kayak yet, but just thought this site would be the place to start to get me in the right direction.  I'm in the market for a pedal driven kayak, new or used.  If anyone is planning on selling their setup in the coming months, please feel free to shoot me a PM.

In any case, looking forward to reading all the useful information provided on here and you can bet that you'll be hearing a lot from me once I purchase my kayak and have it up and going.  Hope to meet some of you out there someday.  Peace.
If you ain't first, you're last.

Bassman welcome.   First thing I thought of when I saw your name was the Seinfeld episode when Kramer gets the ASSMAN liscence plates.

Thanks for the welcome everyone, I feel like at home already.  And yes, I am already part of the madness...Getting a kayak and on the water is all I can think about lately ever since I found this site!! haha.

@agarcia - I'm doomed already...I'm already making plans on selling off some of my freshwater bass fishing gear to make room & funding for ocean fishing gear, since I've been spending more time ocean fishing lately.

@dilbeck - nice to meet a fellow 408er.  I'm in Santa Clara, off San Tomas & El Camino.  I am very familiar with the area you live as I fish Almaden Lake and the local ponds in the area quite often.

If you ain't first, you're last.

I know your heart is set on the dark side but I have a prowler 13 you can use if you just feel the need to get on the water.
Welcome to the madness

@atavuss - yea, I've seen the Pro Angler...its awesome and I would love it, unfortunately a little out of my budget range.  However, I am looking into other hobie kayaks.

@KayakJames - lol, darkside...i'm assuming thats the pedal driven kayaks?  Thanks for the offer, I might actually take you up on it.  Looks like you're in Hayward, which is fairly close by.  Shoot me a PM anytime if you want some company on the water, I'd be more than willing to try out your prowler 13.  At first, I was actually looking at the prowler 13, until I realized that I might want another method of movement in case my arms get too tired.  In any case, I really appreciate the offer.

all I can say is wow, this forum is awesome!!  everyone here seems so friendly compared to any other forum I've been on...LOL.  good vibes!

Not having lived here all that long, I know the general area where you live.  Hope to catch up with you on the water!

Yup, you nailed it.  It's a pretty tight community we have here.  We have our disagreements, usually during the winter, but they're far and few between.
