GS6 - 5/12/12 - Another Year in the Books - Thank you to all who participated

Sailfish you must have read my mind cause you beat me to the timer.  I was working one one earlier, but I couldn't find the right code for posting in a forum. 

Tomorrow blood and bright silver scales will paint my lap.   

I wish i was. On call this week an im by the coalinga canal. Shoulda brought a fishin pole with me an some anchovies would give me something to do other then watch this tank fill

                              TEAM SIGN-UP PROCEDURE
 PLEASE FOLLOW THESE SIMPLE STEPS:
1. Register with Eric by 4/12/12
2. When your name appears on Erics' REGISTERED LIST,
    PM me with screen name, full name, and approved team choice.
    (You need to be approved by one or more members of an existing team)
    (You can also start a new team of 2-10 members)
3. Once I have received your PM, I will put you on your team and your IN.

You do not need to be in the team comp. to be eligible to fish,
 but you do need to fish with someone with a VHF for safety puposes

If I have missed someone that is REGISTERED and PMed me,
you want to start a new team,
I put someone on wrong team,
or your on a team and can't make it,
 PM me.

I will be at Erics' safety/intro meeting at the launch
and at the campground Friday evening for teams
needing to make final adjustments.
No team adds or drops will be accepted after 9:00 p.m. Fri.
(unless I'm still awake and you bring some bribe payola, gear or beer)

TEAM TOURNEY RULES
1. Team Average Format
    Total team points divided by the number of anglers on team=Team score
2. All scores on the team will be averaged,
     whether an angler fished or not,
     posted a score or not,
     got skunked or not
     or was a no show.
3. Late scores will not be accepted.
    Once The main board closes it's done.

Finally,
 Some of you know I'm not the "competitive type" when it comes to fishing.
I started the Team Tourney component of Gimme Shelter last year (Thanks Eric!)
as a way for me to personally give back to the community (NCKA) and tournament (Gimme Shelter)
that has been so influencial in my life over the past 5 years.
It's my hope that we can "compete" in the true spirit of sportsmanship,
to congratulate and celebrate the victorious and come to the realization
that we are all winners when we are on the water together persuing our passion!

Wow, glad to see Eric (EWB) get his registration in and will be fishing for Dawn Patrol also! I see great things coming from this team since I have been saving saving all my fish carma for the salt water because I sure ain't getting any love in the fresh!    Can't wait to get up here so you all soon!

+1 on the saving of the Karma.  I never took a practice swing when playing golf because I figured God only gave me a finite number of good swings and there was no sense risking wasting a good one.  I'm hoping my lack of fishing these last few weeks will provide some good Karma at GS.  For what it's worth, the lack of a practice swing never worked very well and I quit playing.  I guess Karma didn't work with golf.  Fishing the salt is what it's all about for me!  Can't wait!!

Hey Derrick, are you coming up with Andy...and do you know if he plans on bringing any of his bad-ass lead heads for sale? I'd definitely buy a BUNCH of them.

OMG, I just had the best dream ever, I had a 40lbs I'm reeling up my salmon, then my other rod accidentally release reel and lure went to the bottom as I was netting the Salmon..my other reel on the rod just smoked...I didn't get a chance to see it as my boss woke me and says get back to work...

Dreams started to come to me last night about GS6    Cant wait to see what amazing things are going to be pulled from the depths by NCKA!    Getting my shit together this weekend and going for a refresher course at MBK.  Stuffing the X-Factor with 24 noodles and making sure i've got all my saftey gear.  This is going to rock!

Andy1976 has been in touch and is planning to bring his bling to the GS thing (it's sometimes primetime for a rhyme   )
