As far as I know, most of us used to post here and there on Kayak4Fish, but that was mostly a So-Cal board, so I think it was Elric (Hobie-Wan-Kenobi) who started a Yahoo group for NCK Anglers. That was around for a few months in '03-'04, if I'm not mistaken. Then Papa Bill started NCKA.org in '04 and the rest is history.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I got the low-down from Mooch & Fishunter one rainy day @ Bean Hollow, ah the memories... :smt002
Rock hopper pretty much covered it.

There were a couple of sites that didn't quite fill the bill, and when NCKA went up a lot of us gravitated toward it, mostly because of Mooch :smt044

Go to Bills profile go to "Show Post" go to "page 280" and that shows 12/07/04 as his first post, but I don"t think that is right.

12/7/04 is indeed our founding date.

I know the REAL story but a little hesitant to write about it....it's kinda complicated and don't want to bring up the sour side of it.

I'll work on it and have Bill proof read it since we both involved with the background drama during the birth of NCKA. But the good thing is that wounds have been healed and that there is no more animosity between the factions involved. Basically, it's all "water under the bridge" and "we all moved on"  Everyone is happy and working together  :thumright:

04? Wasn't there some kind of server move or something that caused everyone to have to rereg?

Either way...nearly a decade of Ncka we should be planning a party.

I don't think so.

Don't we do that every time we get together?
