Found a screaming deal on these SUP's if anyone is interested.

Not sure how good they are, but I was thinking for the price (50% off) I could give it a shot.  Would be fun to use as a tow boat for boat in camping too!

Also I think I just found a video from one of our own using them for bass fishing:

Al, make sure of the weight capacity of the SUP before you make the purchase.

Dude they are a blast for fishing ponds or floating rivers. They hold up to 250 and are stupid stable. Not very fast but they get around. I have a few videos on YouTube of me on it. I may be interested in picking them up for my rental fleet. Who has them and how much.

Those could be a lot of fun, I bet. And easier to carry down a cliff for commando runs or ab missions.
The Headwaters blog has a cool review of it here: http://headwaterkayak.blogspot.com/2011/02/stand-up-paddling-on-mokelumne-river.html

After watching some SUP fishing videos...I got to thinking...
It'd be awesome if you could build a leaning post, for casting.
And then I found something even better = imagine leaning against THAT for better balance while casting!  :smt044

I sank a SUP.....true story :smt011 The board that I demo'd was more of a "surfing SUP" and do have their weight limits. Of course, the rep. didn't warn me until I got out there :smt009 I think he did it in purpose  :smt077

...another reminder about buying a sup, make sure that you are comfortable with a traction paddling on the board. Usually, the surfing SUPs have a tire like feel to 'em for better foot grip - they are no means comfortable if you plan on cruising with 'em. I suggest getting a bare board and add on the most comfortable paddling you can get.
