I did have a moment when the wind died down and the camera slowly dropped and hit the ground. Lifted right up after the touch and go.

If GoPro ever develops a way to transmit video to a remote screen, it could possbibly be useful in helping to spot shad on the move.

Pure Awesomeness right there!!!

Great stuff, Al!  I've been toying with the idea of a helium balloon setup like this, but only aiming to get up 20-40 feet for a different angle on fishing in the ocean.  Thanks for sharing your R&D.

A balloon would be fun on calm days. I've read about KAP photographers taking both a kite and a balloon on shoots to cover all conditions. I'll try the kite on my kayak when I'm a little more comfortable handling it.

CES 2012: GoPro Wi-fi BacPac Lets Others Watch You Wipe Out

Wow, only a $99 upgrade for wifi?  Well, need an N capable router somewhere nearby to use it with.  But thats pretty cool right there!
