Fun with the GoPro: Kite Aerial Photography

Measure the angle at maximum height and calculate (if angle is 30degrees at max height and line length=500ft then the go pro is 250ft in the air). Or you could ask one of the Hella Asian Crew

Thanks.... I like your second option. 

My first hanging camera mount didn't auto-pan. I had to bring the kite down each time I wanted to change the camera direction. I contacted Brooxes.com and ordered up the parts to make an auto-pan rig. 

I now have an adjustable speed KAP rig for my GoPro. Made with a Brooxes Simplex kit, a servo speed control, continuous rotation servo and a 3-AAA Battery Box. The Bodega outing was the first time in use.

I can now set the direction and speed of rotation to capture a 360 view.
