Diver of the Year 2012: DOTY

PS I was just kidding nate......I would never call out the chuck norris of bikini bottom beach like that.  I heard that nate's freedive....is expensive.  That he doesn't actually spear, he visits the sea and mermaids hand deliver the fish to him. And.....that the dead sea used to be called the sea of life.....then nate visited and....well.....you get the picture.

Fuzz and Rick are on board.

 

3 man DOTY committee of Fuzz, Rick and me (I'll be the voice of all the divers who don't actually have gills and breath underwater  ) will have final say on any disputes etc.

Fuzz and Rick are also reviewing and revising the points and categories to make them more accurate and realistic for the competition.

Always impossible to make everybody happy 100% of the time, but I'm confident the end result will be fair and provide opportunities for all divers to play, have fun and get at least 10 entries.

*my first dive at SWS and I drew first blood (beat Art and Angel right off the bat ) I even spotted a juvi abalone while I was out there 

By the way, pole spearing should have it's own category. Spear Guns are for sissies

That's a great pic Art...I have another black and white one from that day of me in my yak having a drink next to the skiff...

Al gave it to me framed for my bday last year and I have it up on my wall.

 

FYI...fuzz, Rick and I are working hard behind the scenes to iron out details to make the 2012 DOTY contest as cool, fun and fair as possible.

I think you all are gonna dig it, and like I said as long as we keep our focus on FUN and TRASH TALKING this should be a good time for all.
