Timber Cove Anyone? Thursday, December 22, 2011

Since I haven't launched even once off the sonoma coast this year, I'm considering a 7:00 AM launch out of Timber Cove.  If anyone is interested let me know.  If I can't get at least a small crew together, I'll be going east (probably back to NM) to fish freshwater instead.

If there is no work Ill be there. I have Wed off but Im focused on the bay. No promises but Ill try. It looks good as far as the WX is concerned.

Going to try my first stab at kayak rockfishin'  if I can get out of work. Hope to see you all there...

I plan on being there, though I will probably drop pots off Doran at first light and then head up for a 9am-ish launch

 I will see if I can get in on this one, was there sunday and had great day. I ran in to Raydon( thanks for letting us borrow your horn) Pernicius, Jedmo's nephew and one of their friend.

WX lookin worse every time I check it again. 

Thursday: NE wind 8 to 14 kt becoming ESE in the afternoon. Sunny. Mixed swell...W 5 ft at 13 seconds and SSW 1 ft at 13 seconds. Wind waves around 2 ft.

Still plan on going...

It looks like I will have the day off. Might join you here unless I venture up to Gerstle Salt Point SP for some fishing. With all the hookups being done here might be time to go a little north . Either way I hope to be on the water.

It does look like the window is closing. Buoy 46013 is showing the wind still down but swell is still around 10 ft offshore.

I guess I am on the fence if the winds really pick up tonight I might wait until Friday

Friday: Variable winds 5 kt or less. Mostly sunny. Mixed swell...W 4 ft and SSW 1 ft. Wind waves around 1 ft

Friday is certainly looking good.

Does look like it is getting a little rougher on Thursday. Will probably hold off till either Friday or Monday.

Doesn't sound like good weather for a rookie.  Going to keep an eye on things this evening...
