I've been waiting, and waiting... and it's on!
Fished out of Lakeport, went south from there. Caught about 15 fish in 8 hours. The quality was great. My 5 best went around 20, 25 lbs. Broke a biggie off :smt010.
Great weather, used Senkos tight against anything. Mostly water depth 7 to 10 feet. Caught them in bunches, saw some bunches of fish.
I'm tired, yet happy.
If you don't know where you're headed, any road could get you there.

Can also confirm that the Clearlake bucket mouths were unhinged yesterday. My victims were not as fat, but the action was constant. Fish were taken dragging the spinnerbait (slow) through the reeds  as well as the wacky rigged senko (green pumpkin).  I fished the narrows and moved south.  Saw some larger fish taken with live minnows.
Ill be out there tommorrow and hope to see more plastic on the water.

Yet another good morning on clearlake yesterday. Many victims at the narrows on a "rainbow of fruit flavors" of the senko.  Working on my solo / hold the fish / hold a death grip on the camera, picture taking tactics. Got a  really good pic of my hand/ forearm holding a fish head though. ill get better then post. sorry mooch
