I had the opportunity to hunt at the Clear Creek Hunting Club outside of Corning with two of my sons on Monday. Although it is closed on Mondays, Brad, the owner, made it work around the weather and we had the whole place to ourselves (and our guide, Wes). This is a great place if you do not have a dog and need an inexpensive (but quality guide and dog) and only go hunting every so often (well, actually it is a great place if you have everything too). We had a great time. :smt003 Now does anyone have any wonderful recipes...I am tried of mine as I always go to default. :smt001

Great job guys, congrats.
Remember to practice safe knots, because big fish don't just break your line, they also break your heart.

Looks like a great day in the field.

I tried the Pheasant in Cream Sauce recipe the other day for the first time.
It was pretty damn good.

Tied for last place 2010 A.R.W. halibut tournament

try it on reelknot"s Cabezon curry recipe.  I found out the recipe works for any meat.  I tried it last week on a pheasant...Good stuff....
Recipe is on the recipe section of Forum

I dip my Quail and Chukar in a mix of honey and butter... then rack and bake. basting in a 400 deg oven every 5 mins. till done.. maybe 15 -20 mins.

Line the pan with foil... or it will never clean.
