This isn't really a 'report', so I guess I'll post it here.

Had some free time on my hands today, so I took the video camera and checked out Last Chance Creek, a small tributary of Lake Almanor a few miles outside of Chester. I saw a ton of redds out there, which indicated to me that I was probably a week late for most of the action. But, I did get some cool footage of brown trout! Also saw some brook trout making redds, but they were (interestingly enough) spookier than the browns, and it was near impossible to capture them on video.

Check it out!

Great video.  I have twin 11 month old daughters.  I nicknamed one of them  "trout".  My wife kept looking over at me during the video thinking someone was talking about our daughters.  Again, great video.

Thanks all!

Yeah, you can see 3 browns in the last shot.  There were two more browns about 4 feet in front of the ones caught on camera.  And in the glide above them, two pairs of brookies digging redds (which I spooked).  It was extremely cool!

Swear, you was a racoon in a previous incarnation or sum thing.  Love tha army crawl thru the snow, and the tails peaking through at 2:49 giving the viewer mad anticipation of what lurks beneath. Thx for sharing. Highly entertaining, ESP w captions...

Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.
