I saw in Joey's thread that some of you cats are gonna be fishing Oyster Point on Sunday.

Who's going and what time are you launching?

Is there anywhere to buy or net live bait in the area?

Where's the launch?

Sturgeon or halipers?

Could I possibly ask any more questions?

Thanks!

The halibut might be in if the water is good. It looks like the rain is going to hold off all week until then as well. I am going to try out a hali trolling rig and might drift as well. Gotta test out my bait tube and my ghetto sabiki rig too.

I am guessing I will lauch from the wind surfer launch sometime between 6:30 and 7:00.

Attached is the Google Earth file for the Oyster Point WindSurfer Launch

I merged the threads.

Live bait can be purchased at the Marina but we usually have really good luck making bait at the poop pipe, chovies, jack smelt and the occasional perch. I have GPS coordinates for the poop pipe.

I am going for flaties and you always have the chance of a striper. I know there have been sturgeons caught around there as well.

If you don't have Google Earth I can post directions.

Morning tides are conducive for the tubes as well.  I am going to try and score bait on the inside of the lagoon. at 6:15.  Bill combany welcom with the sabiki. No launch just off the side./

I think I am going to stick to the point this Sunday. Good luck at the tubes, do you have a VHS?

I heard he has betamax.  :smt003

what's the parking/paying routine @ oyster point?

I might try to buck the family routine and join you guys on sunday morning assuming I'm not
beat down from whatever I do on saturday.

no anchor needed, right?

Free parking within 50 yards of the put in, all nice and paved. No anchor but if you are going to drift you might want to bring your drift sock.

Betamax! bah!

Bill,

I was talking Bait. I am heading to the point as well.  I was going to try and get some bait before we launch, it may be easier than drifting over the chute.  Although the challenge can be quite fun.

I think we cleared up the VHS question.

I think this are correct but you will want to double check them:

If you come across the San Mateo bridge take 101 north

Take the Oyster Point Exit

Take a left

Turn right on to Oyster Point Blvd

Bear right onto Marina

Look for the flag pole and kayaks!
