Portlandia information request

My wife, Chryss, is traveling to portland for a week, from this saturday (19th) to next saturday (26th) for an adventure.  What I know is that she is staying in a hostel (tight budgets) somewhere near a bunch of "attractions".  seriously, thats all I know so far...

so, if you know interesting and locals only stuff to do/eat/hangout/shop or know people interested in helping her find this stuff, let me know  and I'll get all info to her or her info to you

Alberta Street on the NE side. Tons of cool places to eat,drink,shop. It's a blast and away from downtown. Berkeley-esque.

Try Kells downtown. Irish pub, food and bands. Fun place and really good food.

And some very expensive whiskey.
