We went out anyway and it was a bumpy ride.  traps are full of seaweeds after an hour soak.
Pls be safe if you go out.

Civilization ends at the waterline. Beyond that, we all enter the food chain, and not always right at the top.

I was out there today. I thought the conditions were great until the wind came up around 2pm. The crabings not as good as last weekend, though. I got easy limits last week and came home today with only four. I went with two other guys with five pots between them and they only got fourteen. I'm letting my pot soak over night so I should have a head start tomorrow.

Theres tons of kelp on the shore and my pot picked up a lot of kelp debris during the day.

None of the 24 crabs I've gotten this season have been female.

I am thinking of going on Monday and Tuesday but the wind looks pretty bad so I will have to wait and see.

I was out there in my buddy's pb today. Beautiful day right until 12:00 on the dot, when the wind picked up. We had three pots and four rings for four guys and only managed 10 keepers.
